Here’s a base code for tumblr themes with no CSS, no extra HTML, and no instructions. It’s only the absolute bare minimum and will look terrible unless you add to it, but is a great starting place for any theme. It’s very short and formatted for easy editing.

• for beginner theme makers who want to create their own themes but don’t really know where to start
• includes directions inside the html that probably confusingly explain what does what
• i don’t recommend using this theme as is, the whole purpose is to be edited and made whatever you want
• there is no need to credit me if you publish your own theme created using this base, but if you’d like that would be super nice
• feel free to ask me questions and i’ll do what i can to help (pls note im no expert though)
